Qedeshet

Qedeshet
(Qedeshat)
A Syrian goddess worshipped in Egypt identified with one of the forms of Hathor or of Ashtart. She was represented as standing naked on a walking lion, holding a mirror and lotus blossoms in her left hand, and two serpents in her right. Later pictures show her wearing the head-dress of Hathor. In the eighteenth and nineteenth dynasties she is called ‘Lady of Heaven, Mistress of all the Gods, Eye of Ra, who has none like her’. She was prayed to for life and health, and was sometimes associated with Amsu and Reshpu. Also known as Kedesh and Qodshu.
